Regupol® 3912 Acoustic Underlayment is tough, durable and designed to attenuate impact sound at source. It can be bonded to all types of base floors and is supplied in 6mm thick rolls.
Being manufactured from PUR foam, Regupol® 3912 Acoustic Underlayment’s principal use is for the refurbishment market and is ideal for use beneath carpets, hardwood floors, battens T&G chipboard etc.

Example 1:
18mm T&G chipboard laid over Regupol® 3912 Acoustic Underlayment adhered to 18mm T&G chipboard, directly fixed to timber joists, 8” x 2”, with 75mm mineral wood between joists and two layers of 12.5mm thick plasterboard fixed to resilient bar.

Example 3: Acoustic Batten System
Regupol® 3912 Acoustic Underlayment is a very versatile product within the refurbishment market and can also be used with batten floor systems, an example of which is detailed across.
18mm T&G chipboard fixed to timber battens laid on Regupol® 3912 adhered to 18mm T&G chipboard.
- Cut to suit a variety of different batten widths, giving greater flexibility when selecting the batten size.
- Only 6mm thick, therefore minimises floor heights, which can often be the disadvantage in using standard “off the shelf” products.
- Fix to the top or bottom of the battens.
